With the team back to health and strength this squad secured a valuable and convincing win against one of our closest matched counties. Home advantage can be a factor in these games but as only one of the squad plays at Mill Hill GC perhaps this win is more notable. Strong wins from the new county champion David Kingsman, squad newcomers Phil Richardson Scott Galloway and Ray Rapp followed up by "oldie" Alan Drake put Middlesex 5-0 up. The winning points were provided by the rear guards Chris Vallender and as always Mark Stanton. It was great to have Johnny Miller back from illness who although unusually did not produce a point provided valuable après golf.
