match results do not always give an accurate summary. A 7.5 to 2.5 defeat sounds severe, but 4 of todays games ended on the 18th hole and another 3 matches ended on the 17th.
For the most part the games were highly competitive and hinged (like most games do) on a piece of good fortune at the death, today we lucked out and I am including this amongst the other strong performances this year.
