Ealing's Oliver James Wins Handicap Championship

On a chilly late-summers day at West Middlesex Golf Club, the Middlesex Handicap Championship took place and produced a wonderful day of golf. The 62 competitors with handicaps ranging from 10 to 23 took on the immaculately presented Greenford-based golf course.

Ealing Golf Club's domination in this year's events continued as 16-handicapper, Oliver James, captured 1st place on outback from Sandy Ryrie (Wyke Green) and Adam Wagstaff (North Middlesex) with a very respectable 36 points in challenging conditions.

In the team event, Oliver, along with teammates Jack Nugent and Zoltan Csanadi, had a combined score of 105 points to take home the spoils for Ealing. North Middlesex were second with 100 points, and West Middlesex 2 rounded off the top three with a score of 95.

Our thanks to West Middlesex Golf Club for hosting the event, all the staff at the club who looked after the competitors so well and, of course, the members for allow us the use of the course for the day.
