Lulu Housman wins 2018 Ladies' County Championship

The Championship took place at the immaculately presented Muswell Hill Golf Club in wet and cool weather. Following a closely fought 36-hole medal competition on Friday, 8 ladies and girls progressed to the knockout stage of the Championship on Saturday morning. The semi finalists on Sunday were Diya Patel (Moor Park), Lulu Housman (Wyke Green), Priyanka Parmar (Pinner Hill) and Tara Watters (Muswell Hill).

Lulu and Tara won closely fought matches in the morning to set up a truly competitive final. Both players produced some beautiful golf, but it was England Senior, Lulu, that emerged triumphant, winning 2&1.

Many congratulations to our new Champion, who played superbly over the whole weekend.

The Kenilworth Cup for lowest gross aggregate score (152), was won by Diya Patel.

The Tippy Trophy for lowest net score (154) was won by Sudbury's, Nicola Grover.

We were extremely well looked after by the staff and members at Muswell Hill. The course was in incredible condition with fast greens, the food and service provided by the catering team was excellent and the office and the pro shop assisted us at every turn. The team of referees was provided by Middlesex Chief Referee, Robbie Martin.

The Club provided starters and assistants in the Club House without whom we could not have managed. Our thanks go to all the members at Muswell Hill who gave up their tee times to enable us to play unhindered over the three days.

The strokeplay scores and the knockout draw are shown on the website.
