In difficult scoring conditions, Clark recorded a total of 144, finishing the 36-hole Middlesex Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship at two-over-par. The runner-up, also from Pinner Hill, Ian Hammond, produced rounds of 80, 74 to finish ahead of Wyke Green's Joe Smith on countback.
In the nett competition, Haste Hill member, John Keseke, returned scores of 73 and a stunning afternoon 65 to win the prize by five shots from Phillip Calver of Pinner Hill.
It was a good day all round for Pinner Hill, who also picked up the team prize. The team which consisted of Gary Clark, C K Lee and Martin Toye finished seven shots clear of Wyke Green with a combined total of +44.
Our thanks go to Pinner Hill Golf Club for their help and support in hosting another successful championship.
