On an overcast but mild day at Stanmore Golf Club, the Middlesex Handicap Championship took place and produced a wonderful day of golf. An incredible 66 competitors with handicaps ranging from 10 to 26 took on the immaculately presented north-London based course.
Bush Hill Park dominated this year's event, with 16-handicapper, Richard Blyth, capturing 1st place in the individual event with an outstanding 41 points. Grim's Dykes, Lawrence Gaston, was a close second with 40 points and Stanmore's own Hasmukh Devlia rounded out the top-3 with 37 points.
In the team event, Richard, along with teammates Nick Balnave (15) and David Morris (16), had a combined score of 109 points to take home the spoils for Bush Hill Park. Stanmore 1 were second with 99 points, and Ealing third with a score of 96.
Our thanks to Stanmore Golf Club for hosting the event, all the staff at the club who looked after the competitors so well and, of course, the members for allow us the use of the course for the day.
