Higgins Dominates Youths' Championship

The Middlesex Youths’ Championships were hosted on Monday at a bright and blustery Sudbury Golf Club.

Ealing's young talent, Connor Higgins, continued his fine season with an excellent victory in both the U21 and U18 divisions. He scored consistent rounds of 71 and 73 to finish four clear of Hendon's, Julia Kerrigan, who shot 78 and an impressive 70 in the afternoon, which included two eagles and three birdies.

Both Connor and Julia now go on to represent Middlesex at England Golf’s ‘Champion of Champions’ competition at Woodhall Spa in September.

In the nett competition our winners were Maisie O'Shea, Enfield (U21) and Alfie Reynolds, Stanmore (U18).

There was no under 16s prize in this event as Middlesex has created a separate U16 Championship, which takes place on 24th October at Enfield GC.

We wish to thank our generous hosts Sudbury GC for an excellent day’s golf. The course as always was challenging and the breeze especially tested players course management and choices of clubs. We wish all our competitions a happy and successful summer’s golfing.
