Bill Carey captured his first Middlesex Seniors' Championship at the weekend.
The 56-year-old from Muswell Hill set up his victory with a first round 73 at Stanmore to establish a one-shot lead over Alan Findlater (Pinner Hill).
The top 15 and ties qualified for Saturday's final round and Michael McCormick posted a 75 to keep the pressure on Carey, but a 74 was enough to clinch the trophy by three strokes.
Playing alongside Carey was Ealing's John Flethcher who, like McCormick, fired a second round 75 to take third place behind the West Middlesex man.
Matthew Bayford, Sean Donohoe, Peter Edwards and David MacMurray from Hendon won the team trophy with a combined total of 232, pipping Pinner Hill on countback.
In the age category groups, the following players prevailed:
55-59: Alan Findlater (Pinner Hil)
60-64: Peter Edwards (Hendon)
65-69: Ian Fulda (Sudbury)
70+: Chris Vallender (Fulwell)
