Sudbury pair win the Daily Mail Foursomes

A huge congratulations to Sudbury's Dan Jeffries and Nick Avery who have won the prestigious Daily Mail Foursomes. The competition is open to members of golf clubs in England, Scotland and Wales and is regarded as the greatest amateur golfing event in the world with more than 190,000 players competing in their club qualifying rounds. The pair came through 10 grueling rounds before defeating Staffordshire-based Alsager Golf & CC 3&1 in Sunday's final at Slaley Hall GC, Northumberland. Sudbury is the second Middlesex club to have won this accolade, after Muswell Hill who won it in 1973.
