Middlesex Golf take over the County Schools' Association

The Middlesex Schools’ Golf Association (MSGA) was formed in 1980 by Chris Sutcliffe, who was a master at Mill Hill public school. The aim of the MSGA encouraging boys and girls attending Middlesex Schools to play golf, to give them opportunities to play competitively at all levels and to help them develop a love for the game which will last a lifetime. For the past 40yrs David Dickinson and his wife, Irene, of Bush Hill Park GC have run the association entirely on their own. They are moving out of Middlesex and the The County are delighted to announce that we will run the association from 2021 onward. We would like to sincerely thank David & Irene for their altruistic work over the past 40 years.

Many of the best British professionals began their competitive golf through the schools associations, most notably Justin Rose, Luke Donald, Simon Dyson and Paul Casey. Paul, in fact, played for Middlesex Schools for a number of years. Others have gone on to be fine amateur players and many more continue to enjoy playing the game at their own level.

Middlesex Golf are excited about the opportunity that this presents and hopefully we can extend the reach of the association and the opportunity it presents to young golfers in the County.
