Middlesex Golf

U26, U21, & U18's Championship

A benign morning offered no indication of what was to come at the Middlesex U26, U21, & U18 Championships. 38 hopefuls teed it up on the immaculately presented Pinner Hill GC on a beautiful morning but as forecast, the heavens open just before 9am and the rain did not stop all day. The course held up fantastically considering the volume of rain that came down  in such a short space of time and the greeenkeepers were on hand to squeegee greens that needed it. The morning round was completed as scheduled and players teed off for round 2 in the 36 hole medal championships despite begin soaked to the bone. But soon the rain became too much for the players and the course and the second round had to be abandoned late into the day. Although that did not stop some young golfer continuing to practice late into the evening while waiting for their parents to collect them!

The County would like to thank all the players, volunteers, and officials for persevering for so longs in such dreadful conditions. They are all a credit to the County and we are truly luck to have such wonderful juniors.
