My thanks go to Melissa Randall the Sudbury Lady Captain and her merry band of elves for all the help and support they gave to the County on the day.
On arrival the coffee and tea flowed and the bacon and egg rolls were most welcome.
The course was in spectacular condition and quite tricky as the Head Greenkeeper and his groundsmen had double cut the greens and rolled them, just to make the ladies concentrate harder on making their puts, the speed apparently was like “Greece Lightening”
The halfway hut was a special treat to all competitors as there were so many homemade cakes made by the volunteers and Hideko had made special treats Japanese style. I thought the table looked more like a banquette and enjoyed by all before the rain came down!
I thank all the staff who looked after everyone and helped to make the day a great success. I look forward to seeing you all playing in this popular event next year. The prize winners are below and the full list of results can be viewed HERE.
