
Middlesex Golf
After the original date for the women's 5-a-side was washed out due to heavy rain, the finals were rescheduled for Sunday 24th October at West Middlesex GC. As the daylight hours were too short to host both the semi-finals and finals on the same day, the Division 1 semi-finals were played at neutral venues before the finals day.
At Grim's Dyke GC on Sunday 17th October, Pinner Hill GC beat Wyke Green GC and on Saturday 23rd October at Enfield GC, Muswell Hill GC beat Hendon GC to set up a Division 1 final between Pinner Hill GC and Muswell Hill GC. The Divison 2 final was between Enfield GC and Sudbury GC. The Division 3 final was between Grim's Dyke GC and Northwood GC.
On the rescheduled finals day, the sun shone down and the temperatures were relatively balmy making it hard to believe that it was late October. The course was in fantastic condition and the catering staff pulled out all the stops for all competitors and volunteers. The finals were ...

Division 3 Final: Grim's Dyke GC Vs Northwood GC
The Division 3 final was the first to play. It was a very tense affair as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th matches were evenly split between the two teams. It came down to the last match where Grim's Dykes GC's Anne-Maire Higgins won 2up to win the final. Northwood 2 - 3 Grim's Dyke GC.

The division two final was decided in the first three matches with Sudbury claiming them all to claim the title with some impressive play. Playing Captain, Jackie Smith, won the lone point for Enfield GC and the 4th match was halved as the match was won. Sudbury GC 3.5 - 1.5 Enfield GC.

The Division 1 final on paper looked like a one-sided affair but that was far from the reality. Every game reached the 16th, two went to 17, one went to 18 and the top match went to the 20th! There was some exceptional golf on display from the County's best female golfers, it was exceptionally entertaining to watch. Muswell Hill GC 4 - 1 Pinner Hill GC.
