NORTHWOOD Golf Club provided a superb course enjoyed by the best youth (under 21) players in the County.
Connor Higgins (Ealing) continued his excellent 2017 season as he claimed the Youths Championship title with an excellent 36 hole gross total of 145 (+3) to win by one shot from his nearest rival, Tom Nagle (Pinner Hill).
Connor returned a morning round of 74 (+3) to lead by two shots at the halfway point from Enfield's Cameron Clark.
Connor added to his morning round with a solid afternoon 71 (level) to edge out Tom Nagle, who posted a superb round of 69 (-2) which was good enough for 2nd place. In 3rd place in the U21 Division was Mill Hill's Gyu Ho Lee, with a 151 total.
In the U18 Division, Cameron Clark was victorious following his consistent rounds of 76 & 77. Cameron will now go on to represent Middlesex in the Boys' Champion of Champions competition, to be held at Woodhall Spa in September.
Finally, in the U16 Division, 12 year-old Manato Nakatani from Hendon Golf Club prevailed with two rounds of 78. Manato's form has been excellent throughout the year and he has reduced his handicap by three shots since the beginning of the year - a wonderful achievement.
