Enfield Juniors have won the 2023 Home Nations Junior Team Golf England Final, hosted at the Players Club, Bristol.
An interesting format with all playing a medal round with one gross score and 4 nett scores to count with the 6th score required should their be a tie.
Stanley Rafferty shot the round of the day going around in 3 over gross to set the pace and all our players scored close to their handicap on a tricky and dangerous golf course where it was easy to rack up a large score if wayward from the tee.
This was the first time Enfield has reached the all England Final and yet with 8 teams competing from across the country we won by 6 clear shots with Waterfront, Rotterdam in 2nd Place closely followed by West Derby, Merseyside.
A fantastic achievement for club, county and the nation.!
Enfield will now represent England in the Home Nations Final as they compete against teams from Scotland, Wales and Ireland next Spring.
